coming back

so i have been having this urge to start up blogging again but busy life takes over...bad excuse but im back. in the end that is all that matters, right? here is my relief print i just finished. in honor of the season of politics. what do you see?

I'm in the process of finding an internship for this summer. I've been applying for different Arch. firms in San Francisco and thought I'd post my portfolio and Resume. Hopefully this search will end soon!

thrifty thursday

Here is one of my thrift store finds. I love to clean them up and add funess back to them. This was a lamp I found for my bedroom. I painted and recover the shade. I also made pillows for my bed with the same fabric.

Trendy Tile Tuesday

I found this super cool company that specializes in glass and mosaic tiles called Bisazza. They do the most amazing things with mosaic tiles. When I was first browsing I thought that there was wallpaper on the walls BUT it is 1x1 inch mosaic glass tiles!! They do beautiful artwork from ceilings to tables to cars!! It's amazing what you can do with such a simple form. Check it out! Unbelievable! Beats your bathroom tile eh?

I always love being home for Holidays. Coming to a cozy house full of excitement and surrounded by loved ones. This is my third Christmas since I've been at Iowa State and nothing beats a good month break with my family. Although If us girls aren't getting along most likely you'd find us pulling each others hair out.... (not kidding) but aside all the bickering and underneath the PMSing we have a special love between us that I wouldn't trade for anything. I love being entertained by a super-cool-fantastic show by the one and only....guess who?- or "sleeping" in the same bed on your school night attempting to not wake mom and dad because we can't stop laughing uncontrollably- or sparaticly taking a short shopping stop that turns into a whole evening bargain finds concluded with over stuffing ourselves at Olive Garden. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people and have them be a part of my life.

Owls

I really like owls. Lately I have been seeing a lot of them in patterns and ornamentation. very fun.
